Yes, you are paying for it

About a month ago, a few pilots of the U.S. military drew serious scrutiny for hovering Apache helicopters near musician Kid Rock’s home in Tennessee. This is an obvious misuse of military equipment and personnel. Well, Pete Hegseth and Kid Rock decided to double down. As Kid Rock kicks off a summer tour, he filmed a video promo featuring Pete Hegseth and himself chumming it up. The video then pans over to an Apache helicopter with aviators awaiting nearby. Kid Rock and Pete Hegseth then head over to the waiting helicopter and appear to head out on a joyride.
Friendly reminder: the promo featuring Hegseth, American military personnel, and a military helicopter is paid for by taxpayers. Another friendly reminder that we are in an active war with Iran. Now, I am not suggesting Secretary of Defense Hegseth should remain in the war room twenty-four hours a day until the war's conclusion; however, you would imagine he has more important duties to carry out than appear in a concert feature with an at best D-list musician. This is a slap in the face, as this illegal war has driven up core inflation and fuel prices in the United States, yet again disproportionately impacting the average consumer. There is one thing for certain: this administration sure can spend.
