Left to Progress is an independent media project covering all political topics. Who is Left to Progress?
Welcome in! My name is Austin Abbring, and I’m the founder of Left to Progress. I have followed politics and history from a young age and have decided to share my sentiments with all of you. I attended Indiana University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a certificate in Rock 'n' Roll history. Since graduating, I have worked in blue-collar positions and have lived in the rural Midwest. Because of this, I feel I offer a unique political perspective, being a very blue dot in a sea of red. If I had to pin myself somewhere on the political spectrum, I would consider myself a progressive. I strongly believe that our government should be the primary arbiter of social and economic inequities. I will always advocate for reasonable expansion of government agencies that protect the working class, the environment, civil liberties, civil rights, and the functioning of our pluralism and democracy. I am pro LGBTQIA+, pro-choice, and an atheist.
